(Shakespeare Sisters Book 18)

Rare earth elements have many uses, but a murder weapon is not usually one of them. Colonel Patrick McIntosh is called out to a murder scene where the victim was smothered by promethium on the same evening a task force is constituted to investigate illegal rare earth element smuggling. General Michael Brugman of Interpol finds a link between the investigation and the murder of two Interpol agents. He joins the investigation with the hope of finding the terrorists who is buying the promethium. As the investigation unfolds, McIntosh and John Ford are pitched against an old enemy. Harry Lewis is a career criminal who spent twenty years in prison and he still carries a grudge against the two men who were responsible for his arrest. The investigation narrows in on the source of the promethium and the Hawks realise that Lewis is dredging radioactive uranium waste. Racing to a remote area of South Africa, they hope to save the lives of the workers and prevent an ecological disaster that could kill thousands of people. Enraged by the closure of his lethal business, Lewis plots his revenge on McIntosh.
