(Shakespeare Sisters Book 14)
A murderer kills a woman in an exclusive spa with a priceless antique. Was the victim the target? One of the three women at the spa is the Public Protector, a fearless woman who has never shied away from naming names of corrupt officials and politicians. The second one is a forensic auditor who is married to a judge and who actively helps the Hawks with investigations as an expert civilian consultant. The third spa client is the wife of a convicted diamond smuggler and the press calls her the queen of diamonds. The Hawks must first work out who the intended target was before they can start solving the murder. But first, Mark Wilson must work through his shock and fear that Ariel may be the target of a deadly assassin. A second murder leads the Hawks to the headquarters of a business that imports art and furniture, and a treasure trove of stolen artwork. It soon becomes clear that the two victims were involved in a number of illegal businesses. With the assassin still on the loose, the Hawks race to find the motive for the murders before the killer can strike again. Or before the eco-warrior group which was using the art thefts to fund their agenda can find him.
